FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating) Strain Sensor measures the strain by utilizing the inherent feature of strain sensitivity of FBG. T&S FBG Strain Sensor (S03) fits to be embedded to measure the strain in a ban, bridge, tunnel, and other constructions.
TS S03 strain sensor can be fixed directly on the surface of the object to be tested, and no coating removal is required before fixation. TS S03 strain sensor shows excellent long-term stability under mechanical fatigue conditions, making them well suited for long-term condition monitoring.
FBG strain measurements are absolute measurements, which are ideal for off-line monitoring. As well, FBG strain sensors are immune to electromagnetic interference (even lightning interference). In addition, FBG sensors are passive devices, which means no electrical power is included) and therefore can be fixed in high voltage and even explosive atmosphere areas.
