T&S has launched a newly engineered 800G optical transceiver featuring an MMC optical interface, designed to meet the evolving demands of high-performance data centers and next-generation network infrastructures. Based on a DR8 and SR8 architecture, the transceiver achieves an aggregate transmission capacity of 800 Gbps through dual 400G channels, supporting next-generation switching platforms.

Unlike conventional dual-MPO interface designs, this solution adopts a high-density MMC optical interface with a differentiated structural layout. The compact footprint decreases switch front-panel cabling density while enhancing airflow and thermal management — critical for high-power 800G deployments.

Performance remains aligned with industry-leading low-loss MPO/LC standards, with typical insertion loss controlled at 0.15 dB, ensuring stable and reliable high-speed transmission.

The module is well suited for:

    • Spine-leaf data center architectures

    • AI and HPC clusters

    • 800G high-density switching platforms

    • Next-generation structured cabling systems

As one of the few differentiated 800G MMC-based implementations currently available, this product expands T&S’s high-density optical interconnect portfolio and offers customers greater scalability and system-level optimization flexibility.
