Technical Director of Optical Waveguide Device Development

Job Description:

The Technical Director of Optical Waveguide Device Development will lead the strategic planning, research, and technical direction of optical waveguide device development. This senior role involves managing technical teams, driving innovation, and overseeing the development of cutting-edge waveguide products.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and lead the company's technical research strategy and overall planning for waveguide devices

2. Oversee the management, development, and growth of the technical team

3. Lead the design and development of waveguide chips, including but not limited to PLCs, AWGs, and similar devices

4. Spearhead process development to enhance product quality and ensure production efficiency

5. Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support for production challenges

6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape

Qualifications:

1. Master's or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in optical physics and engineering principles

2. Extensive experience with optical design and simulation tools, including Zemax, VirtualLab, FDTD Solution, Rsoft, or other advanced simulation software

3. Over 10 years of experience in waveguide, micro-nano optical devices, and semiconductor process development, with a proven track record of successful product launches

4. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving abilities, and team management experience

5. Exceptional communication skills to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders

6. Familiarity with the latest innovations and demands in the optical device market
