T&S prohibits and requires its suppliers to prohibit the use of prison labor, bonded labor, indentured labor, or forced labor of any kind. Human trafficking and slavery, including the transport, harboring, recruitment, transfer, or receipt of persons by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud, are strictly forbidden. The personal rights of employees are protected, and their personal freedom must not be restricted. Physical punishment, verbal abuse, corporal punishment, and physical searches of employees by management personnel are strictly prohibited. Employees are guaranteed the right to work at T&S voluntarily and are free to resign with reasonable notice.
T&S follows the "Special Provisions on the Protection of Female Employees" issued by the state to provide lawful protection for female employees. Women are safeguarded in terms of workplace safety and health, taking into account their unique physiological characteristics. Jobs and work assignments unsuitable for women are prohibited. Women are afforded special protection during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding periods. Termination of employment during these periods is strictly prohibited.
A child worker is defined as any individual under the age of 16 who enters into a labor relationship with T&S. A juvenile worker is an individual aged 16 to 18. T&S strictly prohibits the employment of child workers and implements special protections for juvenile workers. Identity verification is rigorously enforced during recruitment to ensure that no child workers are employed at any stage. Before assuming their posts, juvenile workers must receive occupational health and safety education and training. Juvenile workers are not assigned heavy physical labor or work that may endanger their health or safety, including night shifts and overtime. Each department must implement specific protective measures for juvenile workers.
T&S arranges work and rest schedules in accordance with its working hours policy, forecasts human resource needs, and makes appropriate arrangements to ensure employees’ legal rights are safeguarded.
T&S pays wages and provides benefits in compliance with legal requirements. Wages paid to all employees meet or exceed the minimum wage standard (excluding overtime pay, bonuses, etc.). Overtime pay is provided according to the law. Employees enjoy social insurance benefits, including pension, medical, work injury, unemployment, and maternity insurance. Paid leave is provided, and employees receive clear, understandable pay slips in a timely manner.
All employees must adhere to T&S's relevant policies and guidelines, treat each other with respect, and create a healthy and safe work environment. T&S offers rewards to employees with outstanding contributions and provides training on the standard code of conduct. Disciplinary measures are only considered for severe, unacceptable misconduct. Corporal punishment, coercion, or any form of verbal, physical, psychological, or gender-based disciplinary actions are strictly prohibited. Employees are protected from any inhumane treatment, including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical oppression, and verbal abuse.
T&S promotes fair competition and equal employment opportunities for all employees. Employment practices, including recruitment, compensation, promotion, discipline, contract signing and termination, and retirement, are free from discrimination based on race, ethnicity, skin color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, physical ability, political beliefs, social affiliation, or marital status. Equal pay for equal work is guaranteed, and women enjoy the same benefits and rights as men.
T&S respects employees' rights to freely and lawfully associate, join or not join trade unions, seek representation, participate in worker councils, and engage in collective bargaining. T&S does not interfere with or discriminate against employees participating in such activities. Employees are encouraged to elect their own representatives to voice work-related issues directly to management. Employees can communicate with management about working conditions without fear of reprisal, threats, or harassment.
T&S strictly complies with national and local laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety. All machinery, buildings, safety equipment, and related facilities are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure a safe work environment and prevent accidents.
T&S identifies and evaluates emergency situations and events, developing emergency response plans to ensure safe evacuation and minimize damage and casualties. Emergency measures include emergency reporting, employee notification, evacuation procedures, worker training and drills, fire detection and suppression systems, adequate exits, and recovery plans. Fire drills are conducted twice a year.
T&S implements procedures to prevent, manage, track, and report occupational injuries and illnesses. This includes encouraging employees to report incidents, classifying and recording cases, providing necessary medical treatment, investigating incidents, implementing corrective actions, and supporting employees in returning to work. Employees are allowed to evacuate in case of imminent danger and are not required to return to work until the threat is mitigated, without fear of retaliation.
T&S identifies, evaluates, and controls exposure to chemical, biological, and physical hazards. When hazards cannot be effectively controlled by engineering or administrative measures, appropriate and well-maintained personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided free of charge. T&S ensures a safe and healthy work environment, including clean drinking water, sufficient sanitary facilities, adequate ventilation, lighting, temperature, and humidity control. Emergency medical response measures are provided when necessary.
T&S identifies, evaluates, and mitigates the risks of physically demanding work, such as manual handling, heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and repetitive or forceful assembly tasks. Measures are implemented to protect employees engaged in such activities.
T&S provides physical guards, interlocks, and barriers for machinery used by employees and ensures proper maintenance of equipment. Noise levels are reduced to meet labor protection standards, and noise reduction devices are installed where necessary.
T&S provides employees with clean toilet facilities, safe drinking water, and clean food preparation and storage areas. Employee dormitories are kept clean and safe, with emergency exits, adequate ventilation, and reasonable private space.
T&S provides employees with health and safety training on topics such as fire safety and machinery operation. Employees are informed of potential job hazards, and warning signs are posted in operational areas. Employees are encouraged to raise health and safety concerns without fear of reprisal.
T&S obtains all necessary environmental permits from local environmental protection agencies, maintains and updates them, and complies with operational and reporting requirements.
T&S establishes pollution prevention and resource conservation policies, aiming to reduce waste and environmental impact through production improvements, material substitutions, resource conservation, recycling, and reuse.
T&S identifies and controls chemicals, waste, and materials posing hazards to people or the environment, opting for safer substitutes. Hazardous waste is handled safely and legally through qualified recycling partners.
T&S properly treats and disposes of wastewater and solid waste from operations, ensuring monitoring and control before discharge.
Air emissions are identified, monitored, and controlled, including organic waste gases and kitchen fumes.
T&S shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the prohibition or restriction of specific substances, including laws and regulations regarding recycling and disposal labeling. Processing should be conducted in accordance with specific restrictions and hazardous substance lists as required by customers.
T&S shall establish organizational boundaries to identify and track greenhouse gas emissions generated during business operations and industrial processing activities within these boundaries. Greenhouse gas emissions shall be calculated, and resources/energy shall be utilized efficiently to minimize energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions to the greatest extent possible.
All business interactions shall adhere to the highest standards of integrity. Any form of corruption, extortion, embezzlement, or similar misconduct is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of business relationships and potential legal prosecution.
Employees are prohibited from accepting kickbacks, commissions, or any other form of illegal remuneration from customers or suppliers. Similarly, employees may not offer bribes to individuals involved in business dealings with T&S. Violations will be addressed through legal proceedings.
T&S shall establish procedures to disclose information on business activities, organizational structure, financial status, and performance in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and prevailing industry practices.
T&S shall establish a proposal system to protect and respect intellectual property rights. In cases involving the transfer of technology or production expertise, particularly those concerning patents, T&S shall assist employees in acquiring the necessary rights.
T&S shall establish standards for fair trade, advertising, and competition while also implementing measures to protect customer information. During transactions, T&S shall respect the rights of stakeholders.
T&S shall develop procedures to protect the confidentiality of whistleblowers' identities, whether they are suppliers or employees.
T&S shall establish a policy to ensure, to the extent reasonably possible, that tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold, and cobalt contained in its manufactured products do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups that violate human rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo or its neighboring countries/regions. T&S shall conduct due diligence on the origin and chain of custody of these minerals and shall provide details of its due diligence measures upon request by customers.
T&S shall keep the personal information of all individuals engaged in business relationships (including suppliers, customers, consumers, and employees) confidential. Such confidentiality shall meet the reasonable expectations of these individuals. T&S shall comply with all applicable privacy and information security regulations and requirements when collecting, storing, processing, transmitting, and sharing personal information.
T&S shall establish a process to ensure that employees can raise concerns or report issues without fear of retaliation.
