Our Policies

To manage the complex and quickly evolving sustainability landscape, we've built our strategy on three pillars:

Innovate, Protect, and Empower.

Innovate
Innovate for good

Innovate for good is our commitment to use our talent, resources, and innovation expertise to work on meaningful and valuable societal challenges. We address the world's most pressing sustainability challenges by delivering innovative solutions in four key impact areas: climate action, enabling a more circular economy, creating products that are safe and sustainable by design, and advancing water stewardship. Our customer engagement initiatives help us understand our customers' needs from each of our global businesses ments to meet them.

Protect
Protect People and the Planet

Protect people and the planet is our commitment to take action to ensure the safety of our employees, contractors, customers, and communities while improving our impact on the environment. Ultimately, the most valuable and enduring business outcomes are the ones that enable people and the planet to thrive. Our goals in this pillar focus on the challenges of climate change, water stewardship, and achieving world-class environmental, health, and safety performance.

Empower
Empower to thrive

The Empower pillar of our sustainability strategy addresses how we enable our employees and communities to experience well-being, purpose, opportunity, equity, and connection. At T&S, our employees are at the heart of our sustainability efforts and drive our results and impact. We cultivate an inclusive work environment that allows our employees to make a difference, grow professionally, and thrive. To further our impact, we encourage active participation in the communities where we work through key partnerships, collaboration with nonprofit organizations, skills-based volunteering and board service.

Carbon Reduction Commitment
At T&S, we are dedicated to minimizing our carbon footprint as part of our responsibility to the planet. By driving energy efficiency, embracing clean energy, and optimizing production processes, we aim to support a sustainable future for the optical communications industry.

We actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and supply chain. Through process innovation, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing of raw materials like quartz fiber, we strive to align with global climate goals. Our commitment includes setting science-based targets to ensure our actions contribute to a low-carbon, sustainable future.

Sustainability Stories
Solar Water Heating System
Technical
Solar Water Heating System

A solar water heating system is installed on the rooftop of the dormitory building, serving as the primary hot water source for employees. By utilizing solar energy, the system reduces reliance on conventional electricity and supports T&S's long-term goals in enhancing energy efficiency and responsible resource use.

Photovoltaic Power System

Photovoltaic Power System

T&S has introduced a rooftop photovoltaic power system as part of its broader transition to clean energy. By converting solar radiation into electricity, the system helps power essential operations and reduces the facility's dependence on the traditional power grid. This initiative reinforces the company's efforts in low-carbon transformation and sustainable infrastructure development.

Rainwater Collection System
Technical
Rainwater Collection System

Integrated into the industrial park's original layout, the rainwater collection system captures and reuses rainwater for non-potable purposes such as landscape irrigation, facility cleaning, and emergency water reserves. This approach promotes sustainable water usage and reduces reliance on municipal water supplies.

Indoor Temperature Control
Technical
Indoor Temperature Control

T&S employs a smart indoor climate control system across offices, dining areas, warehouses, and production workshops. During summer months, indoor temperatures are maintained at no lower than 26°C, balancing employee comfort with energy-saving practices. This reflects the company's commitment to efficient operations and reduced electricity consumption.
