Product Description of 2F, LC/UPC-LC/UPC, OM1, 2.0mm Orange PVC Tight Buffered, Mode Conditioning Patchcord

Mode conditioning patchcords (MCP) provide an effective launch platform for 1310nm Laser switches being used in multimode cabling systems. Mode conditioned patch cords can allow a much higher operational bandwidth by precisely aligning a single mode termination at the laser transmitter and providing an off-center launch into the multimode fiber core. This is essential for networks using legacy 62.5/125 and 50/125 multimode optical fiber and may be specified for current multimode networks depending upon the system requirements.
